ERISA Recovery is hiring an experienced Senior Hospital Collections & Appeal Analyst to recover complex aged denials for leading health systems. You’ll be onsite at our Plano HQ working with a tenured federal ERISA appeals team, guided onboarding, and leadership that removes blockers so you can collect quickly.

  • Location: Plano, TX (HQ) · On-site
  • Compensation: base salary + performance bonus
  • Signing Bonus: $2,000 after 45 days
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Process UB-04 hospital claims with mastery of billing form requirements and payer nuances.
  • Interpret medical terminology, CPT codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes to build airtight appeals.
  • Navigate the revenue cycle end-to-end (prior auth, billing, insurance appeals, hospital collections).
  • Review, submit, follow up on, and collect denied hospital claims with minimal oversight.
  • Draft persuasive, technically precise ERISA appeals that maximize recoveries.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve blocked claims.
  • Adapt quickly to new technology and workflow optimizations that enhance claim velocity.
  • Meet and exceed individual KPIs while contributing to daily and monthly team goals.

Preferred Background

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5–10 years in hospital billing, appeals, and collections (ERISA expertise is a major plus).
  • Strong PC skills (Windows) and eagerness to adopt new revenue cycle platforms and analytics tools.
  • Polished written and verbal communication for high-stakes payer negotiations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads without sacrificing accuracy or productivity.
  • Exceptional organization, deadline ownership, and a “no claim left behind” mentality.
  • Customer-first orientation with a passion for supporting hospital finance teams.
